10 Signs You’re not Aligned with Your Soul’s Path
We all have a Soul Plan here on Earth. A plan that contains the most important tasks and life lessons that will help our Soul continue in its development. Each person has a specific Soul Path in each life that is unique to them, in the Eastern traditions this is also called Dharma.
We have agreed to these lessons because we have signed our own ‘Soul Contract’, so many of the lessons we have to learn here are predetermined. Therefore, the Universe will arrange for people, events and challenges to come into our lives that will help us learn these lessons.
This may mean that we have to learn to deal with our shadow sides, with ‘difficult’ people and with painful situations, so that we can grow and raise our vibrational frequency as a result. Because that is the higher goal, to release and transform fear, pain, sadness and other lower emotions, so that we can be in higher frequencies of love, compassion, happiness and peace.
If we shove these challenges aside, life will challenge us again – with other situations or other people – until lessons are learned. Therefore, we cannot avoid our destiny but we can decide for ourselves how and when we fulfill our life’s tasks. After all, as human beings we also have free will.
The good news is that our destiny never contains lessons we cannot handle or realize.
In fact, we have also been given talents, gifts and qualities that help us to cope with our challenges and transform them. Whenever you have learned certain lessons and grown as a result, the positive aspects of these challenges will help you blossom.
That’s where the gold is!
You can compare it a bit with a computer game: once you have mastered a level and achieved a certain score you are then allowed to move on to the next one.
Ideally, we use our talents and gifts to realize our life mission, our vocation, in the form of work. To make a contribution to another person, society, humanity or the planet. That way we can not only earn an income with it, but it will also make us happy and will give us a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment.
And therein lies the important key question:
Are we aware of our Soul Plan and our life tasks, and are we attuned to it enough to actually choose work that will bring us this fulfillment?
I see, feel and believe more and more in the magical way the universe has arranged all this for us. How everything and everyone is connected by means of impressive synchronicity.
And realizing also how most of humanity has drifted so far away from it. So many people are not really happy, nor do they know what makes them happy. They have lost touch with their heart, their Soul and their Soul Path.
But we can reconnect with our Soul Path if we get out of our heads, are less busy all the time, and stop wanting to direct and control everything in life. That way we will be more in touch with our bodies, our hearts, and trust in the greater plan, knowing that the Universe has our back.
Feeling as if you’re struggling all the time is not a great place to be. I know all about it.
For me, getting burned out from my corporate job in 2006 was a very clear signal that I was no longer aligned with my Soul Path. And still now when I notice that my body is ‘complaining’, when I feel a lack of energy, or when I’m just not all that happy, it’s always a sign that I’m not quite in the flow of things. It’s an invitation for reflection, to see and feel whether I am still doing the right thing or doing things in the right way!
These are 10 signs that will tell you that you not aligned with your Soul path:
1) Stress, anxiety, and feeling overwhelmed
2) Inner turmoil, restlessness (wanting things to be different – e.g. work, home, relationship, etc.)
3) No longer getting excited and happy about things
4) Feeling drained, low energy
5) Everything feels hopeless, gloomy, having depressive thoughts
6) Giving too much energy away to others, no boundaries
7) Not having new ideas and inspiration
8) Feeling stuck, not being able to move forward
9) Low self-esteem, underestimating yourself and your potential
10) Not taking responsibility, blaming your surroundings and circumstances
The signals that may indicate that we are not following our Soul Path are usually not experienced as very loud and clear, because we have already started to see them as normal. As something that’s part of life.
But they are here, and they are trying to get our attention.
Because our Soul wants nothing more than for us to heal these aspects in ourselves and to fulfill our Soul Plan!
